Here is a very strange creature, with a face you’d think at moments almost human. But a very very ugly human. Or an alien straight out of a sci-fi movie.
It’s a fish: Wolf Eel (Anarrhichthys ocellatus), that can be found in the North Pacific, where it feeds on crustaceans, mussels, sea urchins, small fish, which it grinds with its powerful jaws.
Despite its horrible head and impressive teeth, wolf eel is very nice fellow. Curious and good-natured, it willingly allows approached by divers.
