The world recordcarp fishing has been defeated on April 24, 2014.
It was during a competition on the lake Longeville in France, both Alain and Jean Claude MARRON brothers took out this impressive grandma weighing 34.950 kg (77.05 lbs) !
This is the biggest mirror carp ever caught during an official competition, and weighed by an official referee … It will take approval for IGFA world be it confirmed, usually several months.
This record does not, however, beats that of Marcel Rouviere, who in July 1981 had caught a mirror carp of 37 kilos (81 lbs) , but out of competition.
