A deeply moving video: tribute from a son to his father, a flyfisherman recently died.
Larry Zander was a trout angler, who mounted his own flies.
His adopted son, William J. Meyer wanted to capture his father’s passion, and together they shot this movie on Crytal River, Wisconsin.
A few months later, Larry died at the age of 78 years. Not without seeing this video, and asked that it should be played for his funeral.
A beautiful moment of emotion, the passion of a lifetime, the relationship between father and son, and all the love of transmission. And echoing these images full of tenderness, Cat Stevens song “Father and Son”.
I obviously thought to my own father, who died 20 years ago, and who also gave me a passion for fishing. RIP.
